ABOUT ME

I have a proven track record across multi-sector and multi-disciplined experience, in fast paced and evolving environments with celebrated success delivering on organisational strategies and objectives.

I am good at spotting problems, find technology interesting, and know how to optimise my strategic mindset by also having the need to get stuck in and fix the problem.

I was the kid in our neighbourhood out there organizing our next adventure. The one getting stuck in on the ideas and the one making it happen. And, I’ve not stopped wanting to take on those adventurous often impossible challenges since.

I got my first real job working for a youth camp organization at 18 during Uni break and before I gave up this role for the corporate world a few years later, I was taking groups of 12-100 kids on adventures in rural NSW.

From high ropes to remote camping, mountain biking to archery, I’d learnt to bring people on a journey, to figure out their needs, show up prepared and add value to their lives. It takes passion and courage to lead, imagination and humor to keep kids checked in, and empathy and patience to provide useful feedback and direction.

Since then, I’ve clocked up 14 years working alongside projects in the corporate world, intended to improve business process execution, often if not always involving people coming along on the adventure and usually requiring technology to support the transformation.

I’m good at spotting problems, find technology interesting and have a need to understand what my clients want to achieve. I combine my strategic mindset with the need to get stuck in and fix the problem.

There’s been a wide variety of projects and programs I’ve been involved in delivering which have seen me experience a range of upfront creative processes like; Brand Identification, Feasibility Studies, Strategic Frameworks, Blue Sky Thinking and Optioneering.

And when we’ve made it through setting a vision, I’ve been there to make it come to life. Employing my strengths in stakeholder management and facilitation, portfolio, program and project management, operational management, governance and controls, process and business change management, audit and quality assurance.

I also spend a significant amount of time contributing to the recognition of women in STEM careers and lifting awareness within organisations to improve equatable access to career growth and promotion. Advocating for women makes up a large part of my role on the Board of Women in Technology.

I excel in the art of facilitation and in the rescuing of projects that are off track in respect of time, cost, quality expectations or benefit realisation.

I am passionate about strengths based leadership and supporting teams perform at their best, tuning a well oiled machine or reimagining what’s possible in challenging environments
