How to use your strengths effectively (in your career and life)

What are your strengths? How do you use them at home or work?

Most of us can call out 2 or 3 things we’re really good at… but can you tell me which 10 strengths give you energy - which 10 completely drain you and how you use them to better manage your day??

Finishing off my Diploma in Positive Psychology & Wellbeing has been a dream, and Strengths Profiling is just one of the key tools I personally tap into and draw from with individual clients - it’s just so useful!

Some of the things you can except are:

  • Deeper understanding of your true uniqueness, match your strengths to your goals and gain a deeper confidence and clarity on career decisions

  • Gain insights into what drives you, improve relationships with this knowledge and build resilience

What about team strengths and lifting performance?

I recently went through a team profiling assessment with this world-leading tool - we wanted to see how the group could maximise their growth potential, minimise weaknesses and optimise performance and wellbeing. Not only did we find new insights about the team but each individual walked away with a new perspective and a positive outlook on how they could use this new found knowledge.

This Strengths profiling designed by Professor Alex Linley and his team at Cappfinity in the UK, has been built from decades of theoretical and empirical research in positive psychology and can compliment most other types of assessments out there.

Being accredited to provide debriefs for individuals is such a joy and what I really like about this particular tool is how it can help you build on your ability to create upward spirals of energy for yourself and get you in your unique strengths space more often.
